The village of Jondal has been given the status as a National Park Village. The center of Jondal has a distinct architecture, with its Swiss-style buildings with stone roofing and well-kept orchards linked together by narrow gravel roads. In town you can find grocery stores, lodging, beautiful beaches, and bicycle and boat hire. The village of Herand is only 13 km away.

At the Herand Landscape Park you’ll find trails as well as a climbing wall, art gallery, petroglyphs, boat building museum, water-powered saw, and pizza restaurant. Both villages offer friendly guest harbors where boating enthusiasts can tie up to rest and refuel.
